Located at 1409 3rd Street Promenade, the 4,000-square-foot store is washed in neutral tones with with curved walls, archways and furniture “reflecting the softness and strength” of the brand’s Spacedye fabric.
The space will retail all of Beyond Yoga’s category offerings for the first time, including active, lifestyle, maternity, sleepwear, extended sizing, men’s and toddler leggings.
From October 3, customers will receive a personalized shopping experience in-store and can male individual appointments on Beyondyoga.com where products will be chosen ahead of time based on the customer’s buying history and preferred sizing. The store will provide an omnichannel experience as customers will also be able to exchange online orders.
“Expanding into retail is an exciting moment for the brand and we cannot wait to meet more of our customers in-person,” said Michelle Wahler, co-founder and chief executive officer of Beyond Yoga.
“Santa Monica is an ideal location for us. Not only is it an iconic area of Los Angeles, but it also has a mix of locals and tourists and is home to many of our most loyal customers. I am incredibly proud of the team that brought this store to life and cannot wait to see how consumers respond.”
The retail store opening coincides with the one-year anniversary of Beyond Yoga’s sale to Levi Strauss Co, and comes on the heels of the former’s successful pop-up shop at The Grove.
Looking ahead, it plans to open its second store at the Irvine Spectrum Center, California, later this year.
