Kylie Jenner just wore a structured top to a Rosalía concert in Los Angeles that looks like jeans. We don’t mean a denim or chambray button-down or some other kind of top made from material typically reserved for jeans. No, we mean the top part of jeans have become the top part of the outfit—button fly and all.
Remember 10 years ago, when we debated whether leggings could be pants? Well, get ready to argue again. This time over the question of whether or not pants can be shirts.
Take a look:
While it’s hard to confirm from just a mirror selfie, the top sure looks like someone cut up a pair of black jeans, sewed the legs together, ripped out the pockets, and Jenner shoved her arms through the holes, no? Although, this being a billionaire we’re talking about, it’s probably a limited edition piece from a hip designer. (We’re looking into it. Stay tuned!) Still, easy enough to DIY at home!
Jenner also showed off her loose black pants and pointy heels, as well as the boots of her concert partner. Not sure who it is; could be Kendall, could be Travis Scott! Or a third person! We just don’t know.
Jenner has been embracing the all-black look lately. After taking in the shows at Paris Fashion Week, the lip-kit mogul donned black boots, a black leather jacket, black sunglasses, and a black headscarf while she waited to board her plane back to the States. Though she also carried an off-white crocodile-skin Birkin, the way one does.
But not all is well in Kylie Land. Bethenny Frankel, herself a self-made businesswoman, recently put Kylie Cosmetics on blast for selling a bundled set of products for far above the price of the products if purchased individually. By Frankel’s accounting, they’re essentially charging customers $117 for packaging. And the company doesn’t accept returns.
What’s next? Will Kylie Jenner attempt to sell us half a pair of pants for twice the price?
