American Apparel & Footwear Association reveals new chair, board of directors

For the 2023 to 2024 term, the U.S. fashion and footwear governing body revealed the appointment of Lululemon ​chief supply chain officer, Ted Dagnese, to the role of chair; Josue Solano froom BBC International as vice chair, Ralph Lauren

The new AAFA board of directors also includes Todd Soller, head of global supply chain at Patagonia

“I am honored to step into the role of chair of the board of directors at a time of ever-greater transparency, accountability, and inspiring industry leadership,” said Dagnese, who takes over the chair role from Sarah Clarke.

“I am incredibly grateful for the leadership of this group, as we align and act in the spirit of sustainable and responsible growth. Ted’s experience and breadth of knowledge across AAFA’s core pillars will be a phenomenal asset,” said Steve Lamar, president and CEO of the American Apparel & Footwear Association

“Thank you to Sarah Clarke for her leadership over the past term, and the full board of directors for their committed leadership and focus on industry advancement.”

Clarke, head of supply chain at PVH Corp., took over as chair of the U.S. industry association in 2022. The role was previously held by the COO of Under Armour, Colin Browne, who steered AAFA during a term marked by the pandemic. ​
