Meghan Markle seems unbothered by rumored threats against her royal title.
On Friday, October 21, the Duchess of Sussex was photographed shopping with a friend in Montecito, California. In the photos, published by Page Six, Markle is wearing a $595 strapless green Malia Mills jumpsuit, which she reportedly paired with a $128 wide-brimmed Panama hat by Cuyana. Her hair was worn in a loose braid, and she finished the look with a pair of strappy brown sandals, black sunglasses, a brown leather bucket bag, and a light green sweater tied around her shoulders.
The forest-green calf-length romper is described by the brand as “one part misaki short, one part resolution jumpsuit,” and its loose fit showed off a casual, relaxed side of the duchess we rarely get to see. You can view the photos for yourself here.
Meghan Markle’s name has been all over the news lately, partly due to her weekly podcast, Archetypes, as well as her upcoming Netflix docuseries. According to royal expert Katie Nicholl, King Charles may consider stripping Prince Harry and his wife of their royal titles should they “tarnish” the royal family’s reputation.
“We could be prepared to see the king’s ruthless side,” Nicholl recently told GB News. “Charles is not going to stand back and let his family or the institution or the reputation of the crown—which is everything to him—be tarnished.”
In an interview with published on October 19, Markle appeared to distance herself and her husband from the documentary, which will be released sometime in 2023. “It’s nice to be able to trust someone with our story—a seasoned director whose work I’ve long admired—even if it means it may not be the way we would have told it,” she said, referencing director Liz Garbus. “But that’s not why we’re telling it. We’re trusting our story to someone else, and that means it will go through their lens.”
