Dockers has partnered with Matthias Dandois, a BMX champion, to create a new capsule collection called ‘Dockers x Dandois’.
This collection consists of eight pieces that showcase utility and craftsmanship, as well as unique design details like visible linings, embroidery, and a specially-designed logo inspired by one of Dandois’ tattoos.
In line with Dandois’ commitment to protecting the planet, all of the items in the collection are made with recycled fibers and employ eco-friendly screen printing practices.
The collection includes a pull-on pant, cut-off shorts, deck jacket, mock-neck sweatshirt, and two varieties of T-shirts, including a relaxed fit graphic tee and a sleeveless tee.
Matthias Dandois expressed his excitement about working with Dockers on this project, stating, ‘I was thrilled to travel to San Francisco and work hand in hand with Dockers on this project – it was incredible.
I don’t know how to draw, but we sat and spoke about inspirations, fabrics, colors, styles, designs…
and together I think we developed a really cool capsule.’
As an ambassador for Dockers Europe and a member of the ‘Dockers Crew’ since 2022, Dandois is well-acquainted with the brand, which is owned by the Levi Strauss group.
Nic Rendic, the global head of design for Dockers, praised Dandois for his creativity and stated, ‘Matthias is incredibly creative and inspiring.
It was awesome to work with him on reinterpreting some of our timeless classics through the lens of vintage BMX street culture, especially since he was already wearing Dockers back in the day.’.
