Nextil Divests Elastic Fabrics of America Unit in North Carolina

French textile group Nextil has sold the production facilities of its North American unit, Elastic Fabrics of America, to Clearwater, South Carolina-based textiles manufacturer Sage Automotive Interiors. The deal includes two production sites in Burlington, North Carolina, acquired by Nextil in 2019 as part of its purchase of California-based swimwear and intimates manufacturer Delta Galil Industries’ hosiery division, Delta Galil USA. Sage Automotive Interiors designs and manufactures automotive materials, including headliners, consoles, sun visors, floor coverings, instrument panels and door panels, for customers such as BMW, Ferrari, Ford, General Motors and Toyota, with locations in the United States, Germany, China and Mexico. Nextil is headquartered in Saint-Didier-sur-Chalaronne and is led by chief executive officer Christophe Deboffe. Founded in 1992, Nextil is a major supplier of warp-knit fabrics, serving sectors including lingerie, sportswear, swimwear, corsetry, medical and automotive, with 2021 turnover of 310 million euros.
