Los Angeles, Mr Porter launches its collection in the glory of America
This Wednesday evening in Los Angeles, the temperature was ideal. 80°F. A perfect day to organize Mr Porter
The event took place in the Bel-Air district, where a huge villa with incredible multi swimming pools and a view of Los Angeles awaited 300 guests. The latter indulged on whiskies and spicy pizzas…despite the absence of the actual collection.
This comes five months after the arrival of Mytheresa
To make a success of its new Mr Porer in America campaign, the British company, via its sales director Sam Kershaw, has selected forty brands made in California, a selection that includes labels that are already well established, such as Tom Ford
Among the 40 names, let’s also note the presence of the Californian brand RhudeBally
Other labels included in the collaboration are Enfants Riches Déprimés, General Admission, John Elliott
In total, the collaboration includes more than 600 pieces, with brands specializing in accessories, such as eyewear by Jacques Marie Mage or jewelry by Luis Morais. The collab also features emerging brands with atypical universes, such as Camp High, a label launched by Greg Dacyshyn and Greg Johnsen, two streetwear veterans and Supreme and Burton
Relevant and eclectic, the “Mr Porter in America” collection succeeds in the nice challenge of bringing together a wide range of contemporary design from Los Angeles. Something we would have loved to see come together during the recent LA Fashion Week.
On Tuesday November 1, Mr Porter will continue its trip in America with a new event in Miami.
