Texworld Evolution Paris attracts 3,700 buyers in first July edition

Nevertheless, international visitor numbers were on the rise this session: buyers from outside France accounted for 83% of visitors, well up from the 65% they accounted for at last February’s edition. After French visitors, it was buyers from Spain, the UK and Italy who mainly circulated among the show’s aisles, followed in their numbers by Turkish, German, Dutch and even US buyers.
“This latest edition, staged in early summer rather than September, showed that manufacturers were able to get ready in advance to meet buyers’ expectations,” said Frédéric Bougeard, president of Messe Frankfurt France. “[The session] also confirmed that a new milestone has been reached in the journey back to our shows’ original formats, which we hope to be able to feature in February and then in July 2023,” he added.
Unfortunately, Texworld Evolution was blighted by a transport strike affecting the RER B metro train line, connected by shuttle bus to the exhibition venue. The Grand Paris Express
Among Texworld Evolution’s notable features, the Avantex Fashion Pitch, whose prize was awarded to Redonner, a new organisation that offers solutions enabling fashion labels to redirect dormant and unsold inventory to the French waste disposal and recycling system.
