Located within The Shops at Columbus Circle, the two-story retail space features an expansive product offering, “with a focus on the brand’s commitment to its athletes through innovation,” said Wilson in a press release.
According to the retailer, the new store offers an assortment of equipment across a variety of sport categories including the official basketballs of the NBA, WNBA and NCAA, the Duke – the official ball of the NFL, A2000 baseball gloves, tennis rackets like the Pro Staff and Clash, D9 Irons and more. The new store also houses Wilson Sportswear, the brand’s athletic-lifestyle apparel collection, available for both men and women, which was launched in May last year.
Coinciding with NBA Draft Week, Wilson celebrated the opening of its Columbus Circle location in partnership with SLAM Magazine, hosting the SLAM Draft Suite Presented by Wilson. NBA draftees – including Jabari Smith, Keegan Murray, Jaden Ivey and more – visited the suite to shop, speak about the NBA Draft, and share their goals for the upcoming NBA season.
Along with its four stores across New York and Chicago, Wilson said it will open pop-ups in key locations throughout the summer, including its annual pop-up shop at the U.S. Open, where Wilson has been the official ball and racket stringer for over 40 years.
The latest opening comes on the back of Wilson’s New York store rollout, an operation that has taken place in the last six months. The company opened its first standalone New York store on January this year, backed up by a second location in the city in early June.
