The change of schedule is a strategic move for the trade fair, which was initially scheduled to be held during the second weekend of September, as its director, Julia González, had announced during the event’s last edition. In any case, this arrangement avoids overlapping with the sector’s leading trade fair in France, the Who’s Next
“The coincidence of Momad with Intergift, Bisutex and Madridjoya was a determining factor in choosing the dates, due above all to the networking opportunities that this great joint event offers to fashion and trend industry professionals, as well as the ability to generate synergies in the largest professional lifestyle meeting,” indicated Ifema regarding the announcement of its next edition, which will be the second under González’s leadership as head of the four shows.
The upcoming edition, which will once again be held in pavilion 8 of the fairgrounds, will be rebranding and focusing more on fashion and digitalization. In addition, Ifema will also try to apply a “common strategy to the four fairs” with the aim of positioning the event as “a major trendsetter in Madrid” that attracts all professionals linked to the fashion, footwear, components, jewelry design and decoration trades.
In its last edition, marked by an optimistic atmosphere and a strong desire for the industry to recover, Momad saw a total of 330 brands and 300 buyers from 35 countries, in addition to 6,000 visitors, which is still far from the 15,000 attendees that the Madrid event had before the pandemic.
These are considerable figures that justify the alliance between Intergift, Bisutex and MadridJoya. In total, the intermingling of product offerings secured an overall attendance of 31,000 people.
