Stella McCartney was behind the striking sunshine yellow dress that Amal Clooney wore to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding in 2018—one of the barrister’s most famous looks to date. Now the British designer has supplied Clooney with yet another head-turning yellow look.
Clooney has proved her penchant for party dresses in recent months, by wearing dance-floor-ready minis from Ermanno Scervino and 16Arlington. But she looked especially radiant at the after-party for the Ticket to Paradise in London, where she amped up her sequined Stella McCartney look with silver stilettos and a metallic clutch.
Joining husband George on the red carpet, she wore a slinky John Galliano gown sourced from Marie Blanchet at Mon Vintage, the same vintage dealer that provided the one-shoulder Stephane Rolland 2007 haute couture gown that she wore to attend a Prince’s Trust dinner at Buckingham Palace in 2019.
She regularly champions vintage, but Amal Clooney can trust McCartney to deliver new-season looks with eco-conscious credentials. The designer once described Clooney as “the real deal” in an interview with British Vogue, and said that dressing both the lawyer and Oprah Winfrey for the royal wedding was “a very natural, effortless experience.” She added: “I think that’s why it was so well-received.”
