Sydney Sweeney continues her unofficial reign as a style icon, debuting a fashionable and fun take on the baseball jersey. The Euphoria star could apparently have a future in sports, as she threw out the first pitch at a Boston Red Sox game in a very appropriate ’fit.
For her brief time on the baseball mound, Sydney was sure to pay tribute to the home team. She wore a Boston Red Sox jersey emblazoned with the team’s name across the front. However, unlike a traditional baseball jersey, Sydney’s was cropped.
She pa with ired the shortened jersey with a pair of summer-approved denim shorts with frayed ends and an embroidered red B on one side. Look closely and you’ll also note the baseball-inspired white stitched details and distressed sections of denim.
Sydney completed her ballgame ’fit with white sneakers and a dainty necklace. She also somehow managed the impossible, and sported wavy hair that seemed resistant to the summer humidity.
Based on a post to her Instagram grid, Sydney definitely got into the spirit of the game. One photo had her enjoying some stadium food, and another featured her participating in the wave. “They should’ve put me in,” she captioned the post.
The team may not have needed Sydney to take to the field that night, but she already has a busy few weeks ahead. September will see the arrival of the Emmy Awards, and Sydney received two supporting-actress nominations, one for Euphoria and one for The White Lotus. We’ll have to tune in to see if she wins, but we’re already feeling all of the feels after watching her adorably share in the nomination moment with her mom.
You can watch Sydney Sweeney toss out the first pitch below, but at this point, we’re wondering what other hidden talents she might have! She’s already a TikTok star for her abilities as a mechanic, so anything is truly possible with this talented star!
