Alexa Chung put an elegant spin on sheer dressing at a party in London on Thursday evening, wearing a black lingerie-inspired slip dress by Khaite with a delicate lace bodice and barely there straps, plus one very chic accessory.
The party in question was the grand opening of Veuve Clicquot’s anniversary exhibition, Solaire Culture, and there was a boho feel to Chung’s look—aside from the fact it was black and slinky, she added a thin scarf as a final flourish. There’s something Parisian (think Carine Roitfeld or Sylvie Grateau) about a strip of black silk wrapped casually around the neck.
The exhibition celebrates Veuve Clicquot’s history over the past 250 years and has moved to London for the summer after previously being in Tokyo and Los Angeles. In addition to Alexa Chung, other stars that walked the sunset-themed carpet at the grand opening included Cynthia Erivo, Jodie Turner-Smith, Vanessa Kirby, and Laura Haddock.
