Priyanka Chopra just had her very own Marilyn Monroe moment.
While out in New York City on Monday, May 8, ahead of her appearance on The View, Chopra was photographed wearing a white halter dress similar in neckline and silhouette to Monroe’s iconic white dress with a pleated skirt, which she originally wore on the set of the 1955 film The Seven Year Itch. Monroe was pictured in the dress standing over an NYC subway grate, and the look has since become one of the most recognizable and most referenced fashion moments of all time.
As of late, Priyanka Chopra is referencing the most iconic fashion moments of the 20th century. Last week Chopra walked the cockroach-infested carpet at the Met Gala in a dramatic black Valentino gown with white accents paired with the Bulgari Luna Blue Diamond, which was reminiscent—intentionally or not—of the Heart of the Ocean from 1997’s Titanic.
