Lady Gaga Captures Old Hollywood Magic in Sparkling Bustier Gown at the 2022 SAG Awards

Just minutes before the Screen Actors Guild Awards ceremony was set to begin, Lady Gaga graced the silver carpet with her presence.

The triple threat, who starred as Patrizia Reggiani in the 2021 film House of Gucci was nominated for best female actor in a Leading Role, and she absolutely dressed the part. In a sparkling bustier gown by Armani Privé and decked out in Tiffany & Co. jewels, Gaga looked every bit an Old Hollywood star. The actor kept the rest of her look simple, letting her blonde hair fall in gentle waves across one shoulder and keeping her makeup look soft aside from her signature winged black eyeliner.

Lady Gaga kept things very interesting during the House of Gucci press tour between a series of exciting red-carpet looks and candid interviews.

During the MGM Studios House of Gucci panel back in January, the pop star shared that she pushed for a sex scene with Salma Hayek in the film (Hayek plays Giuseppina “Pina” Auriemma, a co-conspirator in the planned assassination of Patrizia’s husband).

“There’s a whole side of this film that you did not see where Pina and I developed a sexual relationship,” Gaga said, per Insider. “Director’s cut, who knows? This is a testament to [Scott] as a director because he allowed us to go there, and I remember being on set with Salma and going, ‘So after Maurizio dies, maybe it gets hot?’ And she was like, ‘What are you talking about?’”

Ultimately, Lady Gaga kept her SAG Awards red-carpet appearance more demure, but no less glamorous—and she wasn’t the only A-lister who opted for Golden Age elegance at the SAG Awards. Selena Gomez, who stars and serves as an executive producer of Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building, hit the carpet wearing an Oscar de la Renta gown with dramatic sleeves and just a sliver of exposed skin. Like Gaga, she kept the rest of the look simple with a diamond choker and her hair tied up in a black blow.

Gomez’s makeup look was also kept soft and sweet. Makeup artist Hung Vanngo shared a clip of the Only Murders in the Building actor going from bare-faced to glammed up with a pale smoky eye and light beige lip, most likely achieved with Gomez’s Rare Beauty products.
