Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel costume does not include a cape, but that has not stopped her from wearing one while showing off some abs.
At Marvel’s Avengers Campus opening ceremony at Disneyland Paris over the weekend, the actor, who won an Oscar for best actress for her performance in Room, made an appearance in one of her best looks to date.
For the occasion, Larson wore a cropped eyelash paillette top paired with high-waist floor-length navy trousers. She completed the look with the showstopping piece: a navy cape embellished with hand-embroidered flowers and stars. The stars on the cape are a likely nod to her MCU character Captain Marvel, who travels the galaxy saving lives.
The full look, custom-made for Larson by Oscar de la Renta, took nearly 400 hours of craftsmanship in the brand’s New York atelier.
Brie Larson was last seen as Captain Marvel in 2021’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and will appear again in The Marvels, out in May 2023.
