Scotch & Soda launches men’s underwear and socks with Stichd, women’s to follow
Scotch & Soda and Stichd have announced a “long-term” link-up for the design, production, and distribution of the brand’s underwear and sock collections.
Launching initially for men, the collection will debut fully in February, but with an early capsule drop in October for selected accounts and Scotch & Soda retail stores.
The Amsterdam-based fashion brand said that a women’s collection will be under way “soon”.
“Infusing the Scotch & Soda brand DNA into bodywear and legwear, Stichd has developed a product range reflecting the brand’s core identity, inspired by the free spirit of Amsterdam”, it said.
The products feature signature details, that “offer a sense of joy, freedom and playfulness through unexpected details and colours with a distinctive design”. The offer includes both core and seasonal pieces with a mix of classic and trend-led designs.
Stichd is a “high-quality” bodywear, legwear, swimwear, fanwear and lifestyle apparel and accessories specialist, and Scotch & Soda said that “with years of experience [in] B2B and B2C, Stichd can confidently design, produce and deliver retailers with optimal assortments, accurate inventory levels and an effortless order process”.
So what’s on offer from the new deal? The men’s underwear line includes a variety of “comfortable cotton boxers for everyday dressing. The essential styles feature monochromatic variations in both dark and light colours with contrasting accent tones used in the waistband, displaying the brand’s logo. Seasonal styles play with bright colours, geometric or abstract patterns, and floral prints”.
The legwear line includes crew socks, ankle socks and no-show silhouettes with the new Scotch & Soda logo incorporated in different elements throughout the collection. Across all styles, there’s a signature dip toe design and surprise “Have a nice day” message detail inside the welt.
The pieces incorporate organically grown cotton and waistbands that contain recycled materials and it’s claimed the socks can be washed at 10 degrees lower than average.
For SS23, the bodywear line includes 10 styles of underwear, ranging from €26.99 for a pack of two, to €34.99 for a pack of three. The legwear line includes classic and crew socks, with a total of 13 styles, ranging from €9.99 to €14.99.
