Another day at the Invictus Games, another great look from Meghan Markle.
On April 17, the Duchess of Sussex was photographed chatting with members of the Canadian team during the IGF reception, wearing a beautiful white Valentino dress with thin floral cutouts across the shoulders and neckline. She paired the look with a bold red lip and wore her hair down and parted to one side. Prince Harry attended the event in a tan suit.
Over the weekend Markle reportedly spoke with one competitor’s wife about their children’s similar names. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have two children: two-year-old Archie and 10-month-old Lilibet Diana. Archie’s full name is Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
Sherry McBain, a nursing officer in the Royal Air Force, told the P.A. news agency that Markle bonded with her wife, Mandy, who attended a book reading at the Invictus Games with their son, Harrison. The duchess reportedly confided that she and Prince Harry had trouble choosing which name should come first, but ultimately opted to make Harrison their son’s middle name.
White seems to be an ongoing theme for Meghan Markle this week. For her first appearance in The Hague on April 15, the duchess nailed the oversized suit look in an all-white Valentino ensemble. She then opted for a white off-the-shoulder top to attend the event’s opening ceremony on April 16. For the trifecta, Markle donned a belted Brandon Maxwell coat while watching a volleyball match with Prince Harry on April 17.
Ahead of the Invictus Games, an international sporting event founded by the Duke of Sussex for wounded service members, the couple paid a visit to Queen Elizabeth, marking their first joint trip to the U.K. since moving to California in 2020. A spokesperson for the couple confirmed that the couple saw the queen at Windsor Castle, where she’s been staying since her COVID-19 diagnosis in February. The Invictus Games began on April 16 and will run until April 22.
